The hierarchy of Desi Men by Anglosphere country.

Because I did not know how else to title this post.

So for those of you who do not know the term, “Anglosphere”, let me help you out. It refers to a community of English-speaking countries that share some common cultural characteristics. In reality, it is the following countries:

• USA

• Canada

• Australia

• The UK (but really England)

As for Desi, it means any Indian or South Asian person abroad. In a lot of South Asian community forums and subreddits, I often hear about how American Desi men are the weakest and how “alpha” Desis in other Anglosphere countries are. Today, I wanted to challenge that based on my experience having interacted with hundreds of Desis (and hundreds more when you include online) from various Anglosphere countries.

While one thing we can look at are socioeconomic success, the other things I want to look at are:

• Soft power

• Interracial dating success (and yes, I will give ABCDesis, South Asian Masculinity, and The Bronze Movement subreddits a collective stroke by mentioning that we are talking about White women here)

• Success (or failure) in masculine endeavors such as sports (Cricket does not count)

• How many Desi men a country has produced that cool and high status men of other races can respect

We can talk about other metrics too but I think readers get what I am trying to imply here. Simply being an Indian Doctor is not it, sure it makes your parents proud but it still sticks to the whole “Indians study all day stereotype” or “Indian Dork” stereotype. So where in the Anglosphere are Desi Men not just having socioeconomic success but also bucking the whole Indian Dork who has to have his parents find him a wife from back home because he can’t score with local women stereotype. Here I break it down from best to worst.

Australia comes in first place.

Australia has had its problems with Indians in the past but something about the Desi men in Australia has made me realize that they are flying under the radar in a good way. While we have not had that many prominent Desis from Australia rise up recently in things like sports, unless you all know something I do not, I have generally seen them do okay back home and abroad.

Perhaps I have a weak spot for Aussies in general, they aren’t as annoying as their Anglo counterparts from places like the UK. However, almost every Desi guy I have met abroad from Australia has had a great mindset and generally done well with game. This whole victim mentality that plagues Desis in other Anglosphere countries does not plague the ones in Australia.

The other reason I put Australia at the top is because it is one of the few, if not only, Anglosphere countries where I have met women who had a thing for Indian men. Usually, the story is that they met a cool Desi guy growing up who made things great for us. For some reason, the Desis who grow up in Australia embrace that go-getter mindset. I will put them first.

The USA is a close second.

And depending on where in the country, probably tied for first.

I will do a separate post on this but the quality of Desi men in the US varies based on where in the US we are talking about. Some regions of the US produce the cringiest and most low value Desi men than I have seen. On the other hand, the US at its best also produces the most top tier Desi men in the world who are just winning big in life.

An example of such a Desi is Kash Patel who became the FBI Director and is dating a beautiful Country Music singer. Yes, all of the Desi Subreddits are going to have a meltdown over this one and I love it. Another example is the fact that the first Desi and American to ever be in Real Madrid’s youth academy was an American Desi. Given that Americans barely care about soccer, it is impressive for an American Desi to be at the Real Madrid (the best club in the sport) youth academy. Another example is Arjun Nimmala who plays in the MLB.

This is not even to mention how American Desis are making waves in tech and constantly making waves in the arts. I do think that when all is said and done, the new generation of Desi men who break stereotypes and manage to raise the sexual market value of Indian men will come from the US. I will not be shocked if the next sports superstar in a sport other than Cricket comes from the US as well.

The UK is a very distant third.

In my view, UK Desis are an embarrassment to Desis across the world. They have been in the country for more than a century and hardly made much of an impact. UK Desis are a case study on Desis should not act or be. I do not care what Rishi Sunak did, it pales in comparison to the rise in politics that Desis have had in the UK anyways.

What I am more concerned about is the complete lack of representation in Football, yeah the European type where they fake injuries all day. Okay jokes aside, the abysmal performance of UK Desis in World Football has been a joke. You have more Desis than Blacks in the UK and yet, it is unheard of for any good Premier League Club to have a Desi in it. Meanwhile, America which barely cares about the sport already put a kid in the Real Madrid youth academy.

I find the hyping up of British and Canadian (who I will get to shortly) Desis to be a joke. Outside of maybe some acting success, British Desis have shown other Desis how not to do things.

The only reason I do not want to put British Desis in last place is because they did give us Adam Diksa, better known by his stage name Keiran Lee. To make matters a bit more interesting, his dad was Indian and mom was White. So this means that in the UK, Desi men have not exactly had it the worst with interracial relationships. And let’s face it, if you are a Desi guy who is sleeping with hot White girls and having millions of people watch, you’re breaking stereotypes in a big way.

The other reason I don’t put British Desis in last place is because the ones I have known have been solid people. Sure, the massive underperformance in football is to be smeared at every turn but I do want to say that British Desis aren’t exactly the worst either. The reality is that American and Australian Desis have done so well that I had to put British Desis in third place.

Canada is dead last and that’s putting it nicely.

Man oh man, where do I even begin with Canadian Desis. I am excluding Quebec here but my goodness, Canadian Desis are arguably the lowest compared to Desis everywhere else when it comes to representation, sexual market value, and so many other things. In no other country has the Desi population failed as miserably as the ones in Canada. Individually, I know that there are some amazing Desis in Canada who are great people but collectively, my goodness!

First of all, let’s start with the whole “macho” stereotype that gets pushed of Canadian Desi Men. For all the talk that goes on in this regard, we have not seen any of them do well in major Canadian sports like hockey. This whole narrative that Canadian Desis are these macho bad boys gets blindly pushed but I disagree with it. Most are just wannabes that try to act Black and have not produced any marketable culture of their own.

On top of this, a lot of the victim mentality race whiners I see crying about how women do not like Indians tend be overwhelmingly from Canada. The worst ones I met in real life who were embarrassed by the Indian tag and played victim about it in real life were from Canada. All this aside, the reputation that Desi men have in Canada is abysmal on the dating scene.

I am not sure what Desi men in Canada did but my goodness, I have not seen any group of women collectively hate Desi men this much. Like there must be a ton of Desi men with God Awful game in Canada or something because no other group of Anglo women has it out for Indians as much as the Canadians do. To make matters even more embarrassing, Canada’s crown jewel in degeneracy is Sunny Leone who is an Indian female in porn. Meanwhile, unlike the UK, Canada has not produced its male equivalent.

All this talk of being macho and more degenerate and we can’t get an athlete, pornstar, or serious good representation on the big screen from Canadian Desis. Canadian Desi Men are losing hard in the masculinity and Game battle. I am going to do a post in the future on why that is but it is ridiculous.

Finally, Canada gave us Russell Peters. Yes, the first major Brown Comedian whose sole purpose was to ridicule his own people in front of everyone. It wasn’t even neutral, this guy just brought the stock of the whole race down. He did to Desi men what Ken Jeong and Bobby Lee did to Asian Men.

However, the dramatically low sexual market value of Indian men in Canada, even lower than Desi men anywhere else in the western world by comparison, has to be studied. I cannot blame Canadian Desi Men themselves, there is something downright awful about Anglo Canadian Culture in general that has to be studied, analyzed, and evaluated. It has clearly left us with the worst version of Desi Men worldwide.
